So during my stay at home this past Christmas a blackout occurred leaving the entire island without power for approximately twelve hours. This was the result of lightning hitting a transformer that tripped the whole power-grid across the island.
Now what gets me is not so much that I was having dinner with my family at the time the power went out, its the news headlines about it. Go ahead search "Hawaii Blackout" on Google all but one of the hits will say something to the effect of, "Obamas without power," as if the rest of us on the island didn't exist. Jeez they make it sound like a bunch of Hawaii Republicans were pissed off about the election and went and cut off his power.
Don't get me wrong, I like the guy and all but shouldn't we be more concerned about the rest of the state instead of only one person?
